Minneapolis college students and of-age locals enjoy gathering at sports bars to watch away games or simply to avoid the high prices at the stadium. University of Minnesota fans can be found at the bars cheering on their Golden Gophers no matter the score. Minneapolis is also home to the Timberwolves, Twins and Vikings, so basketball, baseball and football fans can get their fill of sports at Minneapolis' bars. Stub and Herb's, located in U of M's Stadium Village, regularly sees a lively crowd of students downing pitchers to support the Gophers. Grandma's Saloon & Grill has three levels, one of which is dedicated to showing sports on the numerous TVs surrounding the bar. When ticket prices are high, or $9 pints don't sound appealing, Minneapolis' sports bars are excellent venues for watching big games.
